A note first concerning the events taking place Saturday, March 16th 2019 and Sunday March 17th, 2019.

From emails we’ve received, there seems to be a bit of confusion as to what event is taking place when.  The Morgan Library and Museum is hosting the “Tolkien and Inspiration: A Multidisciplinary Symposium,” on Saturday March 16th, 2019.  The event starts at 2pm, and the Tolkien Exhibition is open to attendees at 1pm.  This event is SOLD OUT.

On Sunday March 17th, 2019 The New York Tolkien Conference is being held at Baruch College The Newman Vertical Campus at Baruch College One Bernard Baruch Way New York, NY 10010  from 10am – 5pm.

The two days of programming at The Morgan Library and Baruch College are two seperate events at two different locations. Together, they comprise “Tolkien Weekend NYC 2019.”

Dr. Olsen will be moderating “Signum Presents Tolkien: A Round-Robin discussion.” See our full schedule below for details.

Additionally Dr. Olsen will be participating in our panel discussion “Teaching Tolkien in Today’s University” moderated by Leslie A. Donovan and Megan Abrahamson.
